Wonderful Weekend

The weekend here started early. Friday morning when I woke and checked the leader board for the Tour Divide, I noticed the top few guys in the Grand Teton Park area. Since the route is less then 40 miles from the house it had this magnetic draw for me to go and see the racers. Tracey and I loaded up the road bikes and headed up to Buffalo Valley to go for a beautiful road ride and hopefully bump into a racer or two.
As we pulled up to the Turpine Meadows camping area we bumped into Reuben who was leading.
Reuben, Tour Divide
I introduced myself and we chatted a brief moment (probably longer then I would have, even though it was only a minute). He was a bit giggly, loopy but seemingly fast and focused. He did mention he flipped a big bill for a bed at Flagg Ranch and it was his fourth. Rage on Reuben!

Tracey and I were fully enjoying our ride up this way because we don't ride up here as much as we should.

Hours and miles later we bumped into Matt doing a little cleaning and lubing after the Grassy Lake Rd mud, snow mess.
Matt, Tour Divide
It shows that this is Matt's fourth time on the trail. Calm, taking his time but not wasting it, and really looking like he is enjoying the trip. Good Luck Matt!

So, Tracey and I got to spend the day on the bikes logging about 80 sun filled miles.

Woke up Saturday to do a solo ride to Targhee and back. Basically a 90 miler from the house with 3 great climbs totalling close to 7k feet. Just another sunshine filled day.

Ended the weekend with some good ol' local yocal singletrack fun with some friends!
