Thankful

to be able to spend a weekend like we did.

Thanksgiving was a hoot. Spun out some miles on the "Love Shack" before heading over to the Cycling Junkie's house (just a few country blocks away) for a fantastic gathering of all the orphan's that had no place to go. I mean we had places to go, maybe, but to turn down tri-tip, pork chops, Imperial Stout, chocolate/peanut butter covered apples, the company of friends, and to watch ten dogs have even a better time together. Yep, it was a hoot, thanks all!
Tandem snow ridingBaites BridgeBeautiful morning it was!!
Dave & Michelle, Thanksgiving Grill Master Dave and Sweet Cookin' Michelle, great host's!!

The following morning "T" and I went to all the box stores hours away and shopped our brains out. Not. We had a day at home, chopped wood, got the ski stuff out, did some waxing,  and did some relaxing.

It was Saturday that we got up, packed up the truck, and hussled out the door with the dogs and headed up to West Yellowstone (about 2 scenic hours away) to get in the first day of skate skiing on some really, really, nice track. It was awesome to take a small road trip with "the boys" and on the ride up and the way back to stop and scope all the endless opportunities there are in this area to snow bike ride. Stopped off at the Rail Trail as well, which is part of the Continental Divide Route, to walk the dogs and reminisce how we rode here just a few months ago. It looks much different snow covered, but still rideable on a snow bike, huuummm.
Dogs, road trippin' "The Boys"  are going to be great road tripper's.
W. Yellowstone - skating Could'nt belive how crowded the track was...

Saturday was so fun and eye opening it lead me to this for Sunday.
Testing - Ride w/ skis A ride up to Targhee with the skis, to skate for an hour, and then ride home. An excellent fun filled workout, about 4.5 hours total with no lolly gagging.

The Ghee's skate track The track at the Ghee is in better shape then one might think, a little boney getting over and into the "goods" but no biggie.
Mocking down Ski Hill Rd. always presents great views.Coming down Ski Hill Rd.

Well, cheers to a great weekend, thanks to my friends, "the boys" and "T".

Ti Snow Bike On a side note, this Ti frame should be rolling by the weekend. Stay tuned.
